Honey Cinnamon Roll
Ingredients
Batter:
2 cup toasted walnuts
¼ cup sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
12 sheets phyllo dough
½ cup melted butter
Syrup:
½ cup honey
½ cup sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F
Combine walnuts, ¼ cup sugar and cinnamon.
Place 1 sheet of phyllo dough on waxed paper; brush with butter
Place a second phyllo sheet on top and brush with butter
Keep remaining phyllo covered with a damp towel
Sprinkle with ¼ cup walnut mixture
Using waxed paper, roll tightly starting with a long side, removing paper as you roll
Slice roll into 4 pieces
Transfer to a greased 13x9 baking dish
Repeat with remaining phyllo dough and walnut mixture by ¼ cups
Bake 14-16 min
Combine ½ c honey, ½ c sugar, ½ c water and 1 tbsp lemon juice in a saucepan
Bring to a boil
Reduce heat
Simmer 5 min
Cool 10 min
Drizzle over rolls and sprinkle with remaining walnut mixture
